Pixabay user Skeeze is a serial plagiarizer. These are photographs taken in different places around the world, in varying styles and settings with at least 8 different cameras. And they're often uploaded to Pixabay years after they were taken. Plus, you can see previous deletion discussions involving this user.

I've tried my best to "rescue" the images with Google Image Search, and have been able to get the source info for these images:

In addition, the following was kept while the Commons original was deleted. Please delete the newer file and restore the Commons original:

I'd appreciate any help in locating the original sources for the remaining images. Is there a way to flag "Skeeze" as a blacklisted keyword?

I searched the web up and down and found out that Skeeze loaded it up twice to Pixabay: This is the original one and that and edited version. The original image uploaded in 2014 has EXIF data but that doesn't help. I didn't find an older upload anywhere else. First I thought this one from pixy might fit, but its IPTC metadata was added or changed in 2017. So I'd say  Delete. --Achim (talk) 23:29, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, I added the original source after I started this discussion and notifications went out. Sorry for the confusion. Ytoyoda (talk) 18:46, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's not the first case regarding pixabay. There are pixabay accounts that are known to upload not their own work. Sometimes it is quite confusing, see Commons:Deletion requests/File:Woman swimming.jpg or Commons:Deletion requests/File:Acorn-1030819.jpg for example. I think we should create a list of "bad" pixabay accounts that require a closer look similar to the existing list of flickr users. I just stumbled upon another hit: File:Ganesha - The God of new beginnings.jpg, tagged to be from pixabay is from Pexels. The images themselves in many cases turn out to be OK if the real source is found. --Achim (talk) 22:10, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have kept a few more pictures, so we're left with only three images where the only source is Skeeze. I will also agree with Achim that we should create a list of bad Pixabay accounts. De728631 (talk) 15:45, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: mostly kept, those, where source wasn't found or suspicions exist, were deleted. --rubin16 (talk) 06:28, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
