Description

Hygrocybe parvula (Peck) Murrill

Image location: Upper Skokomish River, Washington, USA

H.cantharellus like – but yet so different than some other Hygrocybe’s I have been calling H.cantharellus. The two newest west coast mushroom manuals do not even list H.cantharellus – which is frustrating. Old growth virgin forest at about 2500 foot elevation.

Recognized by sight: At least the PNW sense.
