Commons:Deletion requests/File:Boletus subvelutipes 24385.jpg
image 24385 was deleted by the author at Mushroom Observer and I found image 24386 and it has an NC restriction. All his images apparently now have an NC restriction. Since the original image was never reviewed, I think Commons cannot keep this image. Leoboudv (talk) 21:27, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
* Comment: The subject image is 24385 which was deleted. The authors other images at Mushroom Observer are over here and they have an NC restriction. Perhaps he changed the license but there is no proof. Unfortunately, the uploader left Commons in August 2013 but the problem is there was no reviewer at (or close to) the time of upload in November 2009. --Leoboudv (talk) 21:29, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
Comment: It is a bit suspicious that the Mushroom Observer author deleted image 24385 which is on Commons in this DR but I don't know uploader Raeky. Perhaps, Jcb or Hedwig in Washington who dealt with Raeky might know if Raeky was reliable about image licenses....but it just concerned Deletion Requests. But without a reviewer or proof that this image was free in the past, I don't know if this used image can be saved. --Leoboudv (talk) 21:48, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- Comment The site gives you options: Images on Mushroom Observer are posted with an explicit license. The current options are the Creative Commons Attribution, Share Alike License, the Creative Commons Attribution, Non-Commercial, Share Alike License and Public Domain. I don't remember ever talking to any mushrooms.
- As far as I can see, the photograph in question has been modified last in 2008: Last modified: 2008-10-07 20:13:41 PDT (-0700) That's way before this photograph has been uploaded on Commons (2009-11-09). In this case I'd say delete as copyvio. --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 22:35, 3 October 2017 (UTC)

- Comment: I would say that some of these 50 images are at risk of deletion Hedwig in Washington Other uploaders were Sasata and Fan of Zhirkov. Its the same situation. The license at upload on Commons was cc by sa 3.0 but the image has now been deleted at the source...before it was reviewed. Best, --Leoboudv (talk) 22:38, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- This separate File:Hymenogaster sublilacinus 221979.jpg indicates a license change by the author if you check the source from PD to NC. So, this image can be saved. But its a special case. I don't know anyone else I can ask and Lymantria did not know Raeky's record sadly. --Leoboudv (talk) 22:40, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- Comment: I passed these 3 images below because the original source was not deleted and showed that the license was changed from cc by sa 3.0 from 2009 to 2014 to NC in 2014. In 2009, these images were uploaded by Raeky. Its ridiculous....as these images were uploaded in 2009 and still they have not been reviewed and risk deletion. See one of my comments. Sometimes, though I notice Raeky has a habit of 'passing' his own uploads like here or here or here and now the images are deleted! Raeky though does not seem to mark his own uploaded Mushroom Observer images as Common Good usually tried to mark his images....I think Raeky knows about image licenses but Commons cannot operate on this kind of trust.

If I had a suggestion, I would ask if someone (maybe Jcb, Lymantria, Guanaco could check ALL of Raeky's flickr uploads from 2009 to June 2010 and repass them--if he reviewed them himself and they are still free or file a DR...if they are not free or tag them with no source if the image is now gone. Raeky's upload system (where he marked the image himself) is a Disaster. Even Abigor/Sterkebak told me to never mark my images when I got my reviewer status and I never did this even when I joined Commons. I'm trying to mark his June 2010 uploaded images but the problem is Raeke has Too Many Images for one person to deal with. Now I see that in 2010, Raeke passed or reviewed images from Mushroom Observer too....that he uploaded. Yikes! Can an Admin or trusted review help re-review Raeke's images too? --Leoboudv (talk) 01:22, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
- Keep: My mistake: I did not know that before 21 February 2012 self reviewing was allowed (read at Commons:License review: "Please note that as of 21 February 2012, image-reviewers may not review their own uploads unless the account is an approved bot"). This image was uploaded before 2012. My thanks to Admin Lymantria --Leoboudv (talk) 05:57, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
